☕ START WITH COFFEE. 🏃 ENJOY THE RUN/WALK AROUND THE BEAUTIFUL LAKE. 🔥 FINISH WITH BBQ!

Race day is almost here, and we are getting everything ready to welcome our STL Cure Sarcoma community! 💛

Whether you’re arriving early to run, walk, volunteer, or cheer on someone you love, Travelin' Tom’s Coffee Truck will be there to help you start your morning with a little extra fuel. ☕️

Then, after you cross the finish line, stick around and feed that post-race hunger with Missouri Pitfire! 🔥

Missouri Pitfire will be serving:

🍗 Pulled Chicken Sandwich + Chips: $12
🐷 Pulled Pork Sandwich + Chips: $12
🌭 Brat + Chips: $8
🌭 ¼ lb. Hot Dog + Chips: $8
🥤 Soda: $2

And there is plenty more happening throughout the morning, including our basket raffles, 50/50 drawing, kids’ activities, and time to connect with others in our sarcoma community.

💛 WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING ON RACE DAY?

A few things can help make your day more comfortable and more personal:

⛺ Team Tent & Decorations (Optional): Bring a tent and decorate your team space with photos, signs, colors, or other items that represent the warrior, survivor, or loved one your team is honoring or remembering.

🪑 Chairs: Bring chairs so your team and family have somewhere to relax and spend time together before and after the 6K.

📸 A COPY of a Photo of Your Loved One: If you would like to participate in our remembrance/community display, please bring a COPY of a photo that represents your loved one. Please do not bring an original or irreplaceable photograph.

If you would like to connect with others who may have been impacted by the same type of sarcoma or share a similar journey, you are also welcome to include your contact information on your photo . This is completely optional.

Most importantly, bring the people who matter to you and come ready for a morning of community, remembrance, hope, and purpose. 💛

We are just two weeks away from the 2026 STL Cure Sarcoma 6K Run/Walk, which means it is time to start planning for Packet Pick-Up!

⏰ 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

We strongly encourage participants to pick up their packets on Saturday, or send a designated team representative, to help us keep race morning running smoothly and avoid long lines.

Picking up for a group of 5 or more?

Please email your list of names to [email protected] by October 7th. Group packets will be available for pickup after 11:00 A.M. unless other arrangements are needed.

Can't make it Saturday?

Race-day packet pickup will open at 7:30 A.M.

This year marks a meaningful milestone for one of our longtime STL Cure Sarcoma participants. Ten years ago, her mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 uterine leiomyosarcoma, and that diagnosis ultimately led her to our event for the first time.

She has continued to return year after year....walking in honor and memory of her mom, supporting sarcoma research, and watching this community grow alongside her.

As she prepares to join us for her 10th STL Cure Sarcoma 6K Run/Walk, we asked if she would share a little about what this event has come to mean to her:

"This will be my 10th year participating in the STL Cure Sarcoma run/walk.

In 2016, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 uterine leiomyosarcoma (ULMS). As I poured into facts and anecdotes as a way to make sense of the staggering statistics, I discovered a LMS Facebook group, which continues to provide a wealth of knowledge and support to anyone impacted. Here, it was shared that the Siteman Center was hosting a LMS Symposium; which my mom and I eagerly attended. At the Symposium is where I learned about the STL Cure Sarcoma walk.

It was festive and uplifting, and also simultaneously somber. I knew that I would be integrating it into my annual traditions from then on. I’ve watched the participation multiply, year after year. To me, the Walk is a bittersweet demonstration of necessity. It’s a show of community, support, love, and remembrance.

The growth in participation shows sarcoma’s wide impact, as well as the increased awareness of these diseases… and how incredibly vital continued research is in prevention knowledge, advancing treatment options, and finding a cure.

Attending this event every year has granted me the dedicated space to celebrate my mom’s life, grieve, and honor and pay respects to others.
My mom valued community and giving back to others. I’m grateful to be able to honor her by continuing to take part in supporting this cause. In my mom’s words, “peace, love, and gratitude to you.”

💛 We are grateful that Rebecca and her family found their way to STL Cure Sarcoma 10 years ago, and even more grateful that they have continued to walk alongside us ever since.

If you are in the Greenville area this Saturday morning, make sure to stop by and support Team YoYo’s Bake Sale!

Grab some cookies, brownies, banana bread, or another sweet treat while helping raise funds for sarcoma research. They will also have raffle tickets for the gas fire pit, sticker packs, and pinstriped panels available!

⭐ TEAM LOGO DEADLINE
Want to see your team represented on the back of this year’s race shirt? Teams must reach the $1,000 fundraising mark AND submit their logo by September 20th.

Remember, team logos are printed small and in one color so we can recognize as many qualifying teams as possible.

⚠️ Please do not wait until the last minute! Our final shirt order and artwork must be submitted immediately after the deadline, so September 20th is a firm cutoff for guaranteed shirts and team logos.
