B.E.Y.O.U.is a nonprofit agency providing mentoring and tutorial programs for youth in theBenton Harbor and the surrounding area. The program will form partnerships with local schools and business in the area. goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote, and establish a well rounded individual; improving their social skills, self-esteem, and build an understanding of how educa

tion plays a very significant part in the future of not only their lives; but also the lives of others. Through personal relationships developed at the youth program, the youth will gain a sense of individual responsibility, pride, and accomplishment that will transcend to adulthood. . At risk youth have developed destructive habits, and repeated failures in the classroom and during their personal time.. (BEYOU) is a program that is in direct response to the growing number of young people that are either falling through the cracks at school or are already entangled with the juvenile court system. The goal of the program is to identify youths who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and offer a positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empower the young person to make positive changes in his/her life. BEYOU will focus primarily on youth in the surrounding community. Research has shown students from ranging from the ages of 8-12 will be particularly problematic and are in need of mentoring.

The Bracken Edwards Youth Organization Umbrella (B.E.Y.O.U.) office will be closed tomorrow, Friday, July 17, 2015.

We will be at Broadway Park signing up those who are interested in our 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament from 3 pm - 5 pm.

The first game will start at 5 pm.

We'll also be giving away Free Hot Dogs.

Please come out and show your support.
