One of our own needs us. 💙🏒

Our hockey family is hurting after Josh and Cassie Helgeson and their four boys lost their home and nearly all of their belongings in a devastating house fire while they were away on vacation.

While we are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, the road ahead will be long as they begin to rebuild their lives.

If you’re able to help in any way—whether through a monetary donation, clothing, household essentials, meals, or simply by keeping the Helgeson family in your thoughts and prayers—it would mean more than words can express.

Hockey is more than a game. It’s a family, and when one of our own is facing unimaginable hardship, we come together.

We really need your assistance tomorrow!

🌭 We will be serving our local community at the Roosevelt park immediately after the parade!

HOWEVER - we also need assistance setting up, prepping, serving, and take down.

🍔 In order to make this flow smoothly, we need all the help we can get!

⚡️ MBA Storm Hockey Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2026-2027 Season! ⚡️

It's time to get ready for another exciting season of Storm Hockey! 🏒

📱 We encourage all families to register early so we can begin planning for another great year on the ice.

📣 Registration Deadlines

1. Returning Youth Players: September 1, 2026

2. Varsity Players (NEW THIS YEAR): October 1, 2026

***Registrations received after the applicable deadline will be subject to a $500 late registration fee

***The late fee does not apply to first-year players who are new to MBA Storm Hockey.

New This Season: SportsEngine now offers a payment plan!
• $200 deposit due at registration
• Remaining balance split into two automatic monthly payments
• SportsEngine processing fees apply

📱 💻 Don’t forget to sign up for helping serve and other areas of help with the MBA STORM food vendor at the Kid day carnival!

We are 6 days away and we need lots of help to make this successful. 🌭 🥤

🛼 If your child is participating in our float, please make sure to have them come prepared Saturday morning with their rollerblades

Parents can also attend and walk. We have flyers to pass out as well during the parade

📣 WEDNESDAY EVENING - we will accept all the help to prep our Kid Day float! It goes quite quickly with extra sets of hands - if you are interested in doing your part, please message one of us board members for time and location and other details 📣

🎡 Kid Day is almost here, and hockey season is just around the corner!

🚨 We’re asking all BHA/BGA association families to help make our Kid Day events a success. Volunteering through DIBS helps reduce the operating costs of our program while earning your required volunteer hours.

📣 Please check DIBS and sign up for: 📣

1. Kid Day Food Booth at Roosevelt Park during and after the parade. 🌭 🍔
2. Horse Racing shifts, which also need additional volunteers. 🐎

👋 Want to join the fun? 👋
All players and families are welcome to walk with the BHA/BGA parade float and Zamboni, handing out ice pops during the Kid Day parade.

**Please remember: Volunteer participation is an important part of keeping association costs down. Families who do not complete their required hours and required shifts will be responsible for outstanding fees, and skaters will not be eligible to take the ice until those obligations are paid.

Hello MBA Storm!

Attention ALL Mini Mites, Mites & Squirts. Grab your hockey stick but leave your skates, it’s time for Dryland! We are excited to share that starting July 8th, 2026 ALL Mini Mites, Mites & Squirts will have a Dryland Camp available in Morris that will go through August 26th, 2026.

Details: Wednesdays at 5:30pm - 6:30pm at the Lee Community Center **NO Dryland August 12th due to the Stevens County Fair. See ya at the Burger Stand!

Cost: $65

Led by: MBA Alumni & Mini Mite coach Tony Schultz
