Dedication of New Flag Poles and Flags

VFW Post 1403, Benson will dedicate the new flag poles and flags (American and Minnesotan) on Thursday, May 26 at 7:00pm at the Swift County Historical Museum. The poles and flags are a gift to the Swift County Historical Society and Museum from Post 1403. The dedication will be held as part of the Historical Society’s Annual Memorial Day Program honoring our Service Men and Women. The highlight of the evening will be the introduction of all veterans present and remembering those who have died. The musical quartet, Friends, will provide Civil War era music, and the brief program, “Minnesota and the Civil War,” will share the stories of some of the men who settled in Swift County after the War.
