Benson Area Women's Organization

Benson Area Women's Organization The Benson Area Women’s Organization (BAWO) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide service to the community.

The organization was registered with the NC Department of the Secretary of State on September 19, 1985 and has been going strong ever since. BAWO sponsors the Little Miss Benson and the Junior Miss Benson pageants and hosts several fundraising events each year. Proceeds from the events and fundraisers are disbursed back into the community in many ways, such as donations to the Benson Food Bank, th

e Benson Area Chamber of Commerce, South Johnston High School scholarships and the list goes on. BAWO also helps sponsor other numerous events in the community.

*5-7 Years of Age
*K-2nd Grade
Registration is $75.00 (Check or cash only)
***Contestants Must Reside in the SJHS school district or live within 5 miles of the Benson City limits
The Little Miss Benson pageant is sponsored and produced by the Benson Area Women's Organization and will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the WJ Barefoot Auditorium in Benson. Contestants cannot hold a current pageant title as of September 12th for LMB

********2026 JUNIOR MISS BENSON PAGEANT REGISTRATION –
Sign-up date has been extended to Friday, May 15th. Sign up can be done at Jenny’s Sweet Creations Tuesday – Friday of this week 10AM-5PM only. Registration is $75.00 Cash or check only. No cards
Pageant contestants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
*8-12 Years of Age
* Reside in the SJHS school district or live within 5 miles of the Benson City limits
*Must not hold a title on July 29, 2026 . NO EXCEPTIONS
The pageant is sponsored and produced by the Benson Area Women's Organization and will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the WJ Barefoot Auditorium in Benson.
Practices will be held on Mondays. The practice start date has not been decided at this time.

Thanks to everyone that came to our plant sale yesterday 💕. We had a wonderful turnout and saw many of our regular customers and met new ones. We are blessed to be able to help our community 💕💕. Thank to our Fire chief for helping unload the plants. Thanks to our BAWO husbands for their support always. More pictures will be posted .
