Empty shelves mean it’s time to rally, Bennington.

Demand is up, donations are down, and our pantry could use some help restocking the basics. If you’re able to donate food or purchase an item from our wish list, we’d be incredibly grateful.

After our call for June volunteers, 12 new families and volunteers signed up to help at the pantry, along with many of our wonderful returning volunteers.

We are so grateful for everyone willing to give their time to serve our neighbors. Your support helps ensure we can continue meeting the needs of families in our community.

Garden season is just getting started 🌱 — but before long, many of us will have more zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers than we know what to do with.

When your garden starts overflowing this summer, consider donating extra produce to the Bennington Community Food Pantry! Fresh fruits and vegetables are such a gift for local families and help us provide healthier options during the busy summer months.

Our community is one of a kind!

Students in the Bennington community were identified as needing reliable access to meals this summer, and local organizations quickly stepped up to help.

The Bennington Public Schools Foundation, Bennington Community Food Pantry and Bennington Women’s Club have partnered to launch a Summer Food Program providing weekly breakfast and lunch meal bags for students throughout the summer months.

The community response has already been overwhelming, with donors helping the program reach its initial fundraising goal in just a short time. Organizers say donations are still welcome to help support additional students and sustain the program into future summers.

Summer Food Bag pick-up starts TODAY!

If your family signed up through the Bennington Public Schools Foundation, we are ready for you! Please pick up your food bag between 3–6 PM today at:

(Lower Level – West Entrance)

Bennington, NE 68007

When you check in, just let us know you’re picking up your Summer Food Bag and we’ll help you load up!

Additional pantry shopping is also available during open hours. We are excited to support your family this summer!

The Bennington Community Food Pantry urgently needs volunteers!!!

We currently have 30+ open volunteer spots in June, with several shifts needing filled ASAP.

Without volunteers, we simply cannot continue serving families the way our community deserves.
