Families First is currently seeking a temporary Shared Living Provider for a young man receiving developmental services.

This is a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact by providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment while helping someone maintain stability and independence.

We are looking for an individual or family who is compassionate, patient, and interested in supporting a young adult in their daily life.

Meet JOE! 🌟

It's time to shine the spotlight on one of our wonderful advocates- Joe! If you've spent any time around him, you already know his self-description fits him perfectly: he is incredibly friendly and always working on meeting new people.

Here's a little more about what makes Joe awesome:

*Spotlight on Art: 🎨 Joe is highly skilled at reading and coloring! In fact, he loves bringing his creativity to life by working on his coloring and art - you can even find his artwork on display at The Bennington Welcome Center! ✍️

* On the Move: While he feels safe and comfortable at home, Joe also has a big love for travel. His absolute dream destination is Florida ☀️

* How he spends his time: Joe loves a good conversation! His favorite way to spend time with family and friends is simply to talk

* Hobbies & Favorites: When he's not socializing, you can find him playing bingo, reading, or coloring. He's also a big fan of spaghetti and meatballs,🍝 pie, Dolly Parton, and classic episodes of The Brady Bunch.

* What he appreciates: Joe feels safest and most comfortable right at home, and he has a high praise for his care team, sharing that "the supports are wonderful and helpful" (especially "talking to the ladies"!)

*Big Dreams: 🤩 Joe has some exciting goals on his bucket list! He wants to try going to the movies more, take a scenic train ride, and go see a Boston Red Sox Game Live! ⚾️

Today, Families First remembers and honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. 🇺🇸

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the courage, strength, and selflessness of those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy each day.

We are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day from all of us at Families First. ❤️🤍

Happy Cinco de Mayo from Families First! Cinco de Mayo is seen as a day to celebrate the culture, achievements, and experiences of people with a Mexican background who live in the United States. Cinco de Mayo officially commemorates the anniversary of an early victory by Mexican forces over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
