Window Dressers: Southshire Bennington In 2020 a group of community leaders began a Window Dresser group to build insulating window Inserts with our neighbors. Our goal in 2024: 250!

So far we have created nearly 1,000 of them and a large portion of them were free or low cost.

For the third year, Bank of Bennington sponsored Southshire Window Dressers. Last year they also sent a team of bank staff to help in the assembly of the inserts. Your business or group would be welcomed to come as a team. It does great team building for your members and helps our neighbors at the same time! Three Cheers for M&T Bank who again sponsored the Southshire Window Dresser build to make it possible to provide insulating window Inserts as "pay what you can." In 2024 about half of our inserts went as specials to make sure everyone who needs the inserts can have them!

2025 Southshire Bennington Window Dressers Community Build!

Location of Build: Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, 916 East Main St., Bennington, VT 05201

Set-Up: Thursday, October 16, 2025

Assembling windows: Friday, October 17 through Wednesday, October 22
Shifts: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday to Wednesday
Additional Evening Shifts Monday, October 20 & Tuesday, October 21: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Snacks and a Meal are provided between shifts.

No experience necessary, each station’s task demonstrated before work begins every shift.
