During EMS week we want to recognize our own Firefighter/EMT Tristen Allen not only is she apart of our team, but she is a medic for the Choctaw nation, it takes alot of unseen hours of training and difficult calls to do this..

Thank you for you dedication to the people of Bennington and Bryan co. week

🚑❤️ Small towns are built on people who show up when it matters most — and our local EMS crews do exactly that every single day.

During EMS Week, all of us at The Farmhouse want to say thank you for serving our community with strength, compassion, and heart. From early morning calls to late night emergencies, you’re always there for our neighbors, friends, and families.

***TORNADO WATCH BRYAN Co. until 11PM***

NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
350 PM CDT Sat Apr 25 2026

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

1100 PM CDT.

SUMMARY...Intense storm development is expected through late
afternoon and early evening, initially and especially across
south-central Oklahoma and far northern Texas. Robust supercells
capable of very large hail are expected, along with heightened
tornado potential, especially in vicinity of the warm front.
Damaging wind potential will also steadily increase later this
evening as storms progress east-southeastward across the region.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 100 statute miles
north and south of a line from 20 miles northwest of Wichita Falls
TX to 65 miles northeast of Paris TX. For a complete depiction of
the watch see the associated watch outline update (WOUS64 KWNS

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements

Thank you! Com. center we definitely appreciate you and admire your dedication to keeping us all safe and organized....

As we transition to a stormy / Active weather pattern, we thought it was a good time to remind everyone to check your storm shelters and prepare ahead of time...

Luckily we dont have any traffic circles to contend with 😄😄

We are not under a burn ban at this time, we do ask that you exercise caution if you need us call 911....

If you don't need the Fire Department for your controlled burn and don't want us showing up because someone else called it in please call our dispatch center and let them know your burning that number is 580-924-3737 ext 4 they are in Durant, do this and they will not send us unless you call back and tell them its out of hand... Hopefully this will alleviate some confusion on how the system works.

Thank you

Today we want to take a moment to honor the life of Mindi Welch.

Mindi served her community through Bryan County EMS, dedicating herself to helping others on what were often their hardest days. Her loss is deeply felt; not only within the first responder community, but especially by her children, family, coworkers, and those who knew her personally.

Loss like this doesn’t just affect one family. It ripples through coworkers, classmates, friends, and entire communities. Grief can show up in many ways; silence, anger, confusion, sadness and there is no “right” way to process it.

At Tactical Therapy, we want to remind families, first responders, and communities that support is available. Counseling and trauma-informed care can help individuals and families navigate grief when the weight feels too heavy to carry alone.

Our thoughts are with Mindi’s children, her loved ones, and the Bryan County EMS family during this incredibly difficult time.

If support is ever needed, we are here—quietly, respectfully, and without pressure.
