2026 Omaha Shop Local Daily Directories are hot off the printer!

Started in 2025 as a resource to help keep local dollars in our communities, this year's edition has extended categories including Plants & Gifts, Secondhand Stores and Books, Music & Games. There's over 110 local businesses in here!

We had so much fun making cyanotypes this morning! The weather was perfect for a quick walk around the park to collect nature items and letting our exposures hang out in the sun. Kiddos and grown ups alike oohed and awwed when the prints turned bright blue in the water bath. The perfect combo of art and science.

Big thank you to Sophia Parker for leading this month's craft circle project and Bennington Public Library & Community Conference Center for allowing us to share their space.

The next Second Saturday Craft Circle is this Saturday, March 8th from 9-noon! Join us the first hour to learn how to make origami butterflies and create a mini wreath with them. The last 2 hours are open social crafting time. Bring a project or keep working on your origami skills! You can come and go or stay for a little while or the whole thing.

Third Space is looking for artists, makers and crafters with skills to share during the first hour of our monthly Second Saturday Craft Circles at the Bennington Public Library & Community Conference Center!

We will provide materials for your class and participants can take home whatever they make or work on. Projects should be geared towards new beginners and appropriate for ages 8 through adult.

Second Saturday Craft Circles have been so much fun! It's a wonderful creative outlet, a way to socialize with other crafters and artists and even learn some new skills! All ages are welcome, although the group crafts are usually geared towards older children and adults (recommend 8 and up).

The first hour (9-10am) is a group craft project teaching skills such as crochet, sewing, embroidery, painting and more. The project changes every month! If you'd like to participate in the group craft and take home what you've worked on, plan to arrive at 9. We're also looking for creative individuals who would like to lead a group craft in the future! We'll supply materials. Email [email protected] for more information.

The last 2 hours (10am-noon) is open social crafting time. Bring a project from home or continue your project from group craft and enjoy spending a chill morning with other creatives.
