Bennington Fun Day & Parade has been a Bennington tradition for decades. When it was at risk of dying out, Bennington Family Center stepped in because keeping families connected and giving kids a great day together aligns directly with our mission.

Fellow nonprofits, student groups, and community organizations are always welcome at no cost. The Bennington Senior Center, Fire and Iron MC, Bennington High School FFA, and others use the day for their own fundraising, and we're glad to support that. We make sure commercial vendors don't conflict with what those groups are doing.

We ask commercial vendors for a donation (we suggest $20, but anything helps) to help offset costs like bounce houses and supplies. It seems fair that businesses benefiting from the foot traffic help defray a little of what it takes to put the day on. Every dollar runs through Bennington Family Center as a registered Kansas nonprofit... nothing goes to any individual.

Someday we'd love for Fun Day to be a major fundraiser for Bennington Family Center. If that happens, it'll be through corporate sponsorships, not by charging the community. For now we're just glad to keep the tradition alive and keep improving it every year.
