This weekend, Serenity Farm at Benedict opens its fields for the 8th annual Sunflower Festival — face painting, live music, local food, and all-you-can-pick sunflowers as far as you can see.

Festival proceeds will help support regional nonprofits and charities with missions focused on preservation, education, conservation, and community enrichment- all things that make Southern Maryland so special!

The 8th Annual Southern Maryland Sunflower Festival returns to Serenity Farm at Benedict on Labor Day Weekend, September 5-6, 2026, from 10am-4pm. Come check out the blooming sunflower fields, live music, local artisans, delicious food, family activities, and more.

Whether you're coming for the flowers, the food, or a day outdoors with family and friends, there's something for everyone. Farm Heritage Conservancy
