This evening the Bendersville community fire department held their annual membership appreciation banquet. We’d like to congratulate Garret Melhorn for being selected as the Junior firefighter of the year. Tonight our junior department donated $15,000 towards the debt relief for our senior department. We’d like to take a minute and thank all the these juniors who have shown up and helped at fire calls or events. Your service truly makes a difference and we wouldn’t be able to donate this amount of money without each and every one of you.

We are always looking for juniors. Options range from fundraising, clean up and help at the station, clean up of rigs after calls and of course those who choose to do so the actual fire fighting and response to calls.
