Hey folks,

We are looking for a new Board Member, a Treasurer, to join our team! Are you good with numbers? Have some experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or general financial literacy? Join our team this Fall as our newest Board Member and Treasurer!

This position can be fully remote, 0-5 hours of contribution per week, and our past Treasurer is more than willing to teach you the ropes.

This is 100% a volunteer position, please reach out if you would like to volunteer!

We were on the news! In collaboration with the Old Growth Forest Network, we celebrated the Ancient Juniper Trail last Friday joining the network. You get to see our President, Mara Huang, speak briefly in the news article as well.

The Ancient Juniper Trail in the Oregon Badlands Wilderness has been added to the Old-Growth Forest Network, marking the seventh site in Oregon. Organizers say the designation highlights preservation and public access to ancient ecosystems.

Jess Beauchemin and James Mickley, both NPSO members and iNaturalist Ambassadors, will take us on a native plant journey across Oregon’s diverse eco-regions and provide tips for making clearer, more useful iNaturalist plant observations.
You’ll learn:
• What makes Oregon’s native plants so diverse and fascinating
• How to create high-quality plant observations on iNaturalist
• Simple techniques to improve photos and data, no matter your experience level
Participation is open to everyone—curious beginners and seasoned observers alike. If you don’t yet have an iNaturalist account, we recommend signing up in advance so you’re ready to participate.
