Ribbons for SRE

Your neighbors have come together to make and distribute ribbons to display at your home showing the school colors of Silver Rail Elementary. These are provided, free of charge, and will be distributed at 3 locations around Southeast area of Bend near Silver Rail Elementary this Friday afternoon and Saturday morning (if supplies last).

Times:
Friday Evening October 23rd, 4:00-7:00 pm
Saturday Morning October 24th 9:00 am -1:00 pm (or until we run out)

Locations:
-Larkspur Community Center (please enter on 15th and make a loop through the parking lot)
-Alpenglow Park (please enter on 15th and make a loop through the parking lot)
-Stone Creek Park in the on-street parking area along Brentwood Ave.

A special thank you to Parr Lumber for donating wooden stakes and hardware, and to Old Farm District and the City of Bend for the ribbon cost, and most importantly to so many neighbors volunteering their time to make and distribute the small showing of support for our community.

The Board meets on the 2nd Monday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30pm at the Larkspur Community Center (Classroom A) at 1600 SE Reed Market Rd, and also via Zoom. Open House About Traffic Calming and Slower Streets on Sept 17

Learn about and provide feedback on two City transportation projects:

Neighborhood Connections – This project aims to slow traffic speeds and connect walking and biking routes at various locations across the city. Projects can include speed humps, various traffic calming tools, 20 MPH business districts, sidewalk connections and new bikeways. Community members can provide input on which projects to prioritize.

Transportation Standards Update – The City is expanding the traffic calming toolbox and looking for your input on which tools to use on which types of street.

The planning commission held a meeting on 6/8 to discuss a proposed Bend Development Code Text Amendment to Stevens Ranch Master Planned Development (Article XXIV). This would move the location of the General Industrial (IG) 50-acre Large Lot Overlay to the eastern boundary of the site.
