Ok you might have got this in your email but this is from the HOA regarding opening up the gym and pool areas.
Hello River Canyon Estates Owners,
Here are some updates on the current state of the amenities within your community.
We want to thank you all for your patience and flexibility through this time so far. As many of you are aware, Deschutes County has been approved to enter Phase 1 of the State reopening plan.
Phase 1 does allow for fitness centers to begin opening. Requirements for opening these facilities include:
-maximums on the amount of people in the space at a time
-minimum social distancing requirements
-increased sanitation requirements.
The Board of Directors and Fieldstone Management will be working on a plan for opening the fitness area. This plan includes researching extra costs associated with opening the fitness center under these guidelines. We will be using the State's Specific Guidance for Fitness-related Organizations as the base resource for these decisions. If you have any interest in assisting with this process please contact our office.
Phase 1 does not allow for the opening of sports courts and pools. It is projected that sport courts will be approved for reopening under Phase 2 of the State reopening plan. We will be preparing the plan for opening the tennis court so when the green light is given, the amenity will open without delay.
It is still unclear if pools will be opened under Phase 2 or later. We will continue to track this as guidance continues to be updated.
It is important to understand that these are difficult decisions for associations. In the end, it is the Boards duty to take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of owners in the common areas as well as balance the financial needs of the community. The recent circumstances have created a complex situation that should not be taken lightly. We will do our best as Managers and the Board to fully analyze the necessary steps to protect owner health and assess if the community can absorb any additional cost associated with those chosen best practices. This is a very fluid situation and the Board will strive to communicate developments concerning the amenities at River Canyon Estates as efficiently as possible.
Owner assistance on this matter is appreciated, if you have any interest in participating with the research and creation of these common area use policies and cost assessments please let us know.
Sincerely,
Fieldstone Management Team
