Beyond Stillness: Stories After Stroke

We are grateful for our partnership with Stroke Awareness & Recovery by AbilityPath and look forward to honoring local survivor wisdom in the Bay Area on November 10!

Our founder, Molly, experienced her stroke as a senior at Santa Clara University. Now, she and the Beyond Stillness community are returning to that very space to honor the “spark moments” that helped our storytellers move toward a renewed sense of purpose, connection, and hope.

Each storyteller devoted seven weeks to our Illuminated Stories After Stroke workshop, reflecting on their experiences and helping one another craft stories that reflect who they are beyond stroke.

Together, they are creating space for reflection, connection, and hope. We welcome stroke survivors, carepartners, families, healthcare professionals, and all who believe in the power of stories to connect us.

We look forward to gathering with the Bay Area community for this special evening!

"S**t! My life is on fire! So many sparks!"

One audience member wrote this as their favorite quote from the evening.

Last Thursday in Portland, we expected 100 people to gather but were moved when about double showed up to illuminate wisdom, purpose, and hope after stroke. Every single person had a role in making it a special evening. And, we all play a part in each other's stories moving forward.
