Cuando hablamos del «peso del mundo», a menudo nos referimos al costo de la vida. Para muchos miembros de nuestra comunidad, el sueño de ser propietarios de una vivienda ha parecido inalcanzable. No por falta de esfuerzo, sino porque el sistema no fue diseñado para todos.

Por eso realizamos esta labor.

Le preguntamos a nuestros propietarios cómo han cambiado sus vidas desde que se mudaron a su hogar de RootedHomes. Sus respuestas siempre nos llenan el corazón de alegría. Uno de nuestros propietarios comentó lo siguiente:

«Ha influido en mi vida de una manera muy positiva y saludable. La libertad financiera ha sido una verdadera bendición y me ha quitado un gran peso de encima».

En RootedHomes, creemos que ser propietario de una vivienda no debería ser un privilegio reservado solo para unos pocos; debería ser un cimiento sobre el cual todos puedan construir sus vidas. A glimpse into where RootedHomes has been showing up.

Eliza taught a session at the NHSDC Spring Conference in New Mexico, "Investing in Tomorrow: Prioritizing Youth in Our Community's Response to Homelessness."

Closer to home, Juliana represented RootedHomes at the Bend Health Fair and Día de los Niños in Redmond. Building permanently affordable homeownership runs through every one of these conversations. She was also at the Earth Day Event in Bend, a celebration of our beautiful planet, organized by the Environmental Center.

Communities in Bloom 2026 was our biggest year yet. Thanks to a full house of supporters, volunteers, and partners, we raised $126,700 to fuel the next chapter of permanently affordable homeownership in Central Oregon. That is more than $11,000 above last year, and every dollar moves working Central Oregon families closer to a front door of their own. A few of the people who made this possible: Bend Women for Good and Leadership Bend (Bend Chamber) for showing up with volunteers on the ground, our sponsors who continue to believe in this work, and the homeowners and families who keep this mission rooted in something real.
