We are thrilled to welcome Safe Parking to Westside Church and Community Center. This is a wonderful opportunity to help prepare a welcoming, safe space for some of our homeless neighbors to find stability and a fresh start.

Can you help us out this Friday at 9 a.m.?
Our new microshelter sites at Westside Church and the Safety Campus in Bend are almost ready to open. But we need beds for folks to sleep in. We'll be assembling beds and side tables.

The Community Garden is thriving! The bees are working hard, the soil is nourishing the plants, the plants are producing!
We make a significant harvest each week to share with some of our community partners. This week was Westside's Free Food Market in partnership with Neighbor Impact. It's amazing to take the vegetables from the garden straight to the market (with a little detour to get cleaned up).

The Westside Community Garden is vibrant with energy and compassion, sharing its seasonal bounty through our Monthly Free Food Market to ensure everyone has access to fresh produce. We also bring our harvest to the residents of Cleveland Commons, providing nourishment and joy. Spring is in the air and we’re ready to get planting!Join us for a fun Saturday morning prepping the Westside Community Garden, planting seeds, and learning about gardening in Central Oregon.
This is a great time to come together and get to know your fellow gardeners whether you’re a seasoned planter, or just starting out and want to learn more. Feel free to bring your family and friends! We’ll have drinks and refreshments.

We're excited to share that Game Night will now be a monthly event! Mark your calendars for the third Friday of every month, 7 pm in the Lower Atrium at Westside Church, entry through the West Atrium Doors.

This coming Friday, February 21st is our first official monthly Game Night. We always have lots of games to choose from, but bring any games you want to play as well. It's always a good mix of strategy games, and fun group games. We'll have snacks and giveaways.

Registration is not required, but it's super helpful to make sure we have plenty of snacks.

Join us for this community-wide event to learn more about the causes of homelessness around us as well as the solutions being offered. Representatives from different agencies working on this issue will be available to share information about the work they do and answer questions that you may have.
When: Tuesday, February 25th, 5 pm
Where: Westside Church, 2051 NW Shevlin Park Road, Bend, OR 97703
The schedule is as follows:
5:00-6:00 p.m. – opportunity to visit agency booths, Mosiac Community Health, COIC/WorkSource Mobile Employment, and Shepherd’s House vans
6:00-6:45 p.m. – presentation (introduction, person with lived experience, panel discussion)
6:45-7:30 p.m. – questions and answers
7:30-8:30 p.m. – visit agency booths
Although registration is not required to attend, it is appreciated. If you wish to submit a question or concern about homelessness please enter it when you sign up.
We hope that you will join us in learning what we can do to help resolve this crisis in our community, and help the most vulnerable amongst us.
