Jesus Frees Ministries began at the Azusa Street Revival Cent

ennial Celebration in Los Angeles in 2006. It was there that Mike and Cheryl Freese met a Pastor from Kenya, and soon they were on their way to Africa for an initial “shakedown cruise” in June 2006. God's call to Africa was confirmed to Mike & Cheryl in such a powerful way during their trip to Kenya that when they returned to the U.S they immediately begun work on starting Jesus Frees Ministries (JFM). In 2007 Mike and Cheryl sold their home in Oregon and purchased a house in Kenya. Their home in Kenya allows them to receive short-term mission teams who come to assist their work in Africa. In 2009 JFM began providing free medical camps for the sick. A 12 week discipleship course titled, "Walking with Jesus" was developed to teach biblical foundations to African students and pastors. Currently JFM is constructing a nursery school that can also be utilized for church services on Sundays. And the founders, Mike and Cheryl spend much of their time in Kenya preaching and teaching.
