This is a reminder that the Willamette Valley temple dedication will be broadcast at the Stake Center and the Burns Building this Sunday at 10:00 and rebroadcast at 2:00, so couples with children can have the opportunity to switch off childcare responsibilities and still attend (or for any other reason you can't make one of the times). We have been asked to be seated 30 minutes in advance, and please remember to bring a white handkerchief if possible (some will be available at the door if not).

Also remember to bring your current temple recommend to attend the dedication. If you need a recommend, please contact a member of the bishopric as soon as possible and they can help you with the process.

The temple dedications will be the only meetings held this Sunday, but there will be a meeting on the lawn at 10:00, discussing the need for and purposes of temples in the latter days, and all are welcome to attend that meeting. This Sunday is an exciting and special Sabbath experience and I hope to see you there!

Sisters! Today is the day! Please come to the stake center at 10:00 am for a morning of service and sisterhood! We will be helping the youth with their Trek buckets (bring your youth if they are available to help) and making handkerchiefs for the Temple Dedication. Lunch will be served. Hope to see you all there!!

Sisters! We hope you will join us on May 16th for a Stake Relief Society Spring Gathering! The Willamette Valley Temple dedication will be broadcast to our stake center on June 7th and members age 8 and up can attend with a Temple Recommend, both the limited use and standard recommend. (see your bishop for more information) A special part of this dedication is the Hosannah shout which includes using a white handkerchief. We will be decorating handkerchiefs for you to use at this special occasion! Please let us know if you can attend and how many handkerchiefs you will need for your family by filling out this survey.

The Worldwide Relief Society Broadcast came out today. It's so wonderful! Powerful testimonies on Discipleship and Sisterhood!

If you are unable to attend you can still donate a pie Thursday Nov 19th, 7:00 pm at the Bend stake center Kitchen. Can be homemade or store bought (no frozen please). Leftover pies will be donated to Bethlehem Inn

Dear Brothers and Sisters-

One last reminder for our Bend Oregon Stake activity- Journey to the Temple - this Saturday at 4:00pm at the Bend Stake Center. We hope you will come and participate in this amazing event and enjoy spending time together celebrating families and temples.

You will have the opportunity to:

Hear from a current Temple President and Matron - President and Sister Willis
Learn what it was like for your ancestors that went through Ellis Island
Learn more about temples and share which temples around the world you may have visited!
Participate in fun games and activities for adults and children
Receive help with Family History
Eat a meal together
And so much more! Our wards have been hard at work preparing this special event for you. Please invite your friends and bring your families. We hope to see you all there!

We are so excited about our upcoming Stake Temple and Family History activity on October 18th at 4:00 pm at the Bend Oregon Stake Center.

Our dear President Nelson taught us so much about the temple throughout his time as prophet. He said:

"Positive spiritual momentum increases as we worship in the temple and grow in our understanding of the magnificent breadth and depth of the blessings we receive there. I plead with you to counter worldly ways by focusing on the eternal blessings of the temple"

We hope this activity will draw us all nearer to the Savior and his gospel as we focus on the temple and bringing our ancestors names with us there!

We have President and Sister Willis, temple President and Matron from the Richmond Viriginia Temple, as our guest speakers and many fun activities focused on the temple and on family history followed by a delicious dinner. There will be games and children activities so please bring your whole family to enjoy this special night! If you need help with something on your family history bring your laptop computer and one of our specialist can help you! Please bring a family favorite dessert to share.

We are in need of a few items to make this night memorable:

1) Sister Karlin Hedin is looking for pioneer or old-time clothing to use in the photo booth. Please let her know if you have some she can use: [email protected]

2) Please send family photos to Sister Erard at [email protected]. These can be photos of your ancestors or photos of your family.
