For many homebound older adults, a pet is more than a companion. They are part of the daily routine, a source of comfort, and an important reason to keep going. That’s why we’re launching Food Fur All, our annual fundraiser for our Pet Pals program. You can make a difference by donating at https://www.councilonaging.org/donate/. Every gift helps us provide pet food, supplies, and veterinary care to Meals on Wheels clients throughout Central Oregon.

Reminder: Get ready for fall with a quick flu shot! In Care is hosting a Flu Vaccine Clinic at the Council on Aging Senior Services Center (1036 NE 5th Street, Bend) this Friday, October 9th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Most major insurances, OHP, and Medicare cover the cost with direct billing, just bring your card ($30 out-of-pocket for uninsured). Mark your calendar, visit www.partnersbend.org, or call (541) 382-5882 for details.

Thanks to High Desert Food & Farm Alliance and a grant from St. Charles Health System, our Caring Connections matches recently enjoyed a special outing at the Bend Farmers Market.

They got a guided tour of the market, market tokens, and a fresh, locally sourced lunch from the Farmers Deli. It was a wonderful opportunity to get out, explore the market and enjoy time together.

Protect yourself and your loved ones this flu season! Partners In Care is hosting a Flu Vaccine Clinic at the Council on Aging Senior Services Center on Friday, October 9th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Join us at 1036 NE 5th Street in Bend. Bring your insurance card, as Partners In Care will bill directly for OHP, Medicare, and most major insurances. The cost is $30 for those without insurance. For details, visit www.partnersbend.org or call (541) 382-5882.

Catch us this Saturday, Sept 19th, at the fourth annual Feria de la Salud y Bienestar (Health and Wellness Fair) in Ponderosa Park in Bend. The event is designed to improve access to healthcare and provide preventative health screenings and community resources for Latino and Spanish-speaking families across the region.

Services, information and activities will be offered primarily in Spanish, with interpretation services in multiple languages available. While the fair centers on the needs of the Latino community, all are welcome to attend. The event is put together by Mosaic Community Health, Deschutes County Health Services, and Volunteers in Medicine Clinic of the Cascades-VIM. Learn more: https://loom.ly/qKqHgdA
