T1D Buddy Camp at Tamarack

It is with great regret that we are going to cancel T1D Buddy Camp at Camp Tamarack next week. With the continued progression of the Akawa Fire in Sisters and the unpredictable nature of wind, smoke, and fire activity we believe this is the best decision to ensure the safety of all campers, volunteers, and staff under our care. We are so disappointed to be unable to provide this magical camp experience for your campers.

You should get an email from Camp Tamarack explaining whats next as far as credit for next year or a refund.

We will miss all our campers this year and cross our fingers and toes we get to see all of you in Summer 2027.

Boone was still pretty new to Type 1 diabetes when he bravely headed to T1D Buddy Camp with his sister and a friend 💪💙 New diagnosis, lots of nerves—but also so much courage, community, and camp magic. Watching kids like Boone find confidence, independence, and normalcy at camp is exactly why Buddy Camp exists 🥹✨
