Our team was able to get after it in the backcountry earlier this season during NSP Level 2 avalanche education. Patrollers spent a couple of days working with some of our awesome instructors learning about snowpack, avalanche problems, backcountry safety, and more.

Thank you for choosing us as your nonprofit of the month! Every Tuesday night of January, $1 from each pint of beer sold will go to Mt. Bachelor National Ski Patrol. Our patrollers will be at Deschutes Public House downtown from 6-8 PM each Tuesday of the month to chat with the awesome community we have here in Bend and sell raffle tickets from some sweet prizes! Come join us and support your local Mt. Bachelor National Ski Patrol!

As we patiently wait for more snow and safe skiing/riding conditions here in Central Oregon, our group has been staying active in the off-season with activities like Smith Rock hikes together. Get those legs ready for the season to avoid injury!

As snow begins to dust Mt. Bachelor, our team has been busy at work! Our OEC (Outdoor Emergency Care) class has wrapped up after 14 classes, a written test and a practical final. We are delighted to welcome our 5 new probationary patrollers as they move onto their next portion of training. This next portion includes their on-mountain mentorship before they achieve full patroller status. Let’s get ready for an awesome winter!

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported Mt. Bachelor National Ski Patrol on St. Patrick's day for some sold out BINGO fun! You helped raise over $3,000 for your patrol in just a couple of hours - funds that will be used for training and supplies that keep skills sharp, education on mountain safety and response, and recruiting new patrollers to serve this community. 🍀
