✨ Meet the Team: Amy ✨

Amy loves combining movement and adventure and leads our Adventure Group each summer, helping participants explore all that Central Oregon has to offer. She also coordinates our student internships and clinical rotations, mentoring the next generation of rehabilitation professionals.

Outside of work, you’ll find her paddle boarding, practicing Pilates, traveling, discovering new cheeses, and stopping to smell the junipers. 🌲☀️🧀

We’re grateful for Amy’s adventurous spirit, thoughtful leadership, and all she does to support both our participants and future clinicians. Let us know your favorite thing about Amy in the comments! 😁

The High Desert Museum and its Raptors of the Sky show are always a hit for Adventure Group. We enjoyed hearing talks about the native fish and plants that can survive in the desert as well as see these amazing birds fly right over our heads.

Meet Carol Ann, the founder of Destination Rehab. In 2016, Carol Ann had a vision to create a place where individuals with neurological conditions could receive specialized care, build community, and continue pursuing the activities that bring them joy.

Ten years later, that vision has grown into an incredible team, and we’re excited to introduce some new faces along the way!

Meet the **Hypershell** — the latest addition to the technology we’re using at Destination Rehab!

The Hypershell is a lightweight, wearable exoskeleton designed to provide powered assistance during walking and movement, helping users move with greater ease and confidence. By responding to your natural gait, this innovative technology can help reduce effort and support functional mobility, allowing you to focus on getting back to the activities you love. 🌲🚶‍♀️

We’re excited to bring this cutting-edge technology to our community and explore how it can support people with neurological conditions and mobility challenges.

Come see Destination Rehab at the Live Well, Age Well Expo! 🎉

Join us on Tuesday, June 9, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at the Pavilion for an afternoon of community, resources, and fun. This year’s expo will feature a variety of local providers, live music from the Bend Ukulele Group, fitness class demonstrations, and a free community lunch from 12:00–2:00 PM (or until supplies last).

Whether you’re looking for wellness resources, opportunities to stay active, or ways to connect with others in the community, there’s something for everyone.

No registration is required—just bring yourself and stop by to say hello! We look forward to seeing you there.

Today our Adventure Group learned all about the rocks and wildlife at the Lava Lands National Monument. We saw glorious views of the Cascade Mountains and learned more about the Newberry Caldera. We love exploring our backyard and want to give special thanks to awesome Ranger Charlie for encouraging our learning.
