The enemy doesn’t always attack by overpowering you.
Sometimes he attacks through discouragement.
Through ridicule.
Through fear.
Through confusion.
Through that voice telling you, “You’re tired. You can’t do this. Just stop building.”
Nehemiah 4 gives us an incredible picture of what happens when the people of God are doing exactly what God called them to do—and suddenly the attacks start coming from every direction.
But Nehemiah doesn’t quit.
He prays.
He prepares.
He reminds the people who their God is.
And he tells them to keep building.
Tomorrow at theCHURCH we’re talking about how the enemy attacks, how discouragement makes us vulnerable, and how we can stand our ground and keep moving forward when life feels like a battle.
“Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome…” — Nehemiah 4:14

God Through Us — Nehemiah

Last week, the call was simple:

**Let us rise up and build.**

This week, the work begins.

When Nehemiah began rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, he couldn't do it alone. Priests, families, craftsmen, leaders—ordinary people took responsibility for the part of the wall right where they were planted.

They didn't wait for the perfect assignment.
They didn't ask what was in it for them.
They saw what God was doing—and they got to work.

I believe there is something powerful in that for us.

God has given us a clear mission: **to make it easier for people to know Jesus and lead people into a growing relationship with Him.**

We have a foundation.

**Now it's time to build.**

Maybe you've looked around lately and wondered what God is doing.

**Don't lose heart.**

We're just getting started.

What if a year from now this room is filled with families being discipled by Jesus?

What if the work we begin today impacts people we haven't even met yet?

What if what God builds here outlives every one of us?

I don't know everything God will do.

But I know this:

**It's worth building for.**

Tomorrow at **10:00 AM**, we're continuing our journey through Nehemiah.

The wall wasn’t rebuilt by one person.

Everyone had a part.
Everyone had a place.
Everyone had something to build.

And the same is true of the church.

We’ve seen some hard things. We’ve had moments that could discourage us. But we are not losing heart or measuring what God is doing only by what we can see.

**We’re just getting started.**

It’s time to strengthen the walls.
It’s time to build together.
It’s time to take ownership of what God has placed in front of us.

**You and I. Us and Him.**

Tomorrow we continue **God Through Us: Nehemiah** with a simple challenge:

**ARISE AND BUILD.**

Nehemiah prayed for months. He waited. He prepared. And when God opened the door, he was ready to move.

But the wall wasn’t rebuilt by Nehemiah alone.

**Not everyone is called to lead the work. But every one of us is called to be part of it.**

Tomorrow we continue **RESTORED: A Series Through Nehemiah** and look at what happens when prayer turns into action, preparation meets opportunity, and God’s people put their hands to the work together.

GOD THROUGH US — A New Series Through Nehemiah
This Sunday at theCHURCH, we’re starting a brand-new series through the book of Nehemiah.
Before God does a great work through us, He first does a great work in us.
Nehemiah is a story of restoration, rebuilding, courage, obedience, and the glory of God being revealed through a people He restores. Our prayer is that through this series, we would not only see what God did in Nehemiah’s day — but what He still desires to do in us and through us today.
If you’ve ever felt worn down, discouraged, broken, or in need of rebuilding, this is a great time to join us.
