"We have to keep making things. We have to keep reconstructing new creations out of things that no longer serve us. We have to deconstruct/decolonize/deliberate. I am a white woman, I am hella privileged, but I'm gonna keep on making beautiful things in the name of making a beautiful world that is safe and true."

🌬️ 💙 2024 Grant Recipient Invisible Thread
Invisible Thread strives to create safer spaces where folks can gather to connect through music and art, as well as support our creative community. It is our hope that community is cultivated little by little with every concert, gallery, and workshop put on in Central Oregon.

🌬️ 💙 2024 Grant Recipient Gina Christopher

Gina Marie Christopher is a stand-up comedian and improv actress who started in 2018 in Bend, Oregon but will immediately inform you of her Buffalo, New York roots.

Gina has since performed worldwide: From Astoria to LA, Portland to Buffalo, and all the way to “Stand-Up Tokyo” in Japan and Angel’s Comedy Club in London, UK. Gina’s experiences with dating the houseless, taking advantage of Oregon Cannabis laws, and her own body to what a typical 20 something should be going through—or not going through. Who knows? But overall, Gina makes you to feel like you’re her best pal in a room full of people.

2024 Grant Recipient MEEKOH: A singer-songwriter from the Pacific Northwest.

"My mission is simple: to create as much meaningful music for you as I possibly can. Every song I write is a step toward something bigger—a return to the stage, where I can share my music the way it was meant to be heard. "

ORIGINALS ✨ This collection of four original works by the late artist Kaycee Anseth spans decades, mediums, subjects, and distinct chapters of her life. Each piece was originally commissioned or acquired by private collectors and has since been generously returned to the Kaycee Anseth Legacy Foundation. They represent the last remaining originals by Anseth in the world.

The purchase of these works directly supports the Foundation’s mission to honor Kaycee’s legacy and uplift Central Oregon artists. Since its founding, the Foundation has supported more than 50 artists, makers, and organizations who, as members of the Central Oregon community, continue to inspire and “Outcreate.”

🌬️💙 From Kaycee's Instagram Feed, January 29, 2020:

My name is Kaycee, daughter of Norwegian immigrants who settled Lakota land, and Scott-Irish settlers who took over the Cherokee’s beloved Smokies. Still trying to unravel those relationships(so say we all). About to leave my chrysalis in the land of the Warm Springs/Wasco/Paiute with humble permission. Dreamer, collage artist, painter, lover of all things worthy of love (and who am I to judge that anyway), singer of harmonies... Photo was taking by the beautiful in early November when I could feel It following close behind but didn’t know how to say that I Knew. There’s more, but none of that really matters now. See my highlights for the sketching/journaling if you don’t mind death positivity. Thanks for the follow. I love you. Short and sweet, I’ll say.

(Prints of my collages will be available in a few months after my amazing team of co-creators work it out for me).

Also:

Hi, it's her amazing team of co-creators and forever fans- like you - asking you to share about one of our grantees, repost your favorite collage or email our website to someone you know to help pay it forward to artists like her in Central Oregon. ✌️
