Many BACB members continue performing throughout the year with BSU ensembles, including Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Trombone Choir, and Percussion Ensemble. FOUR bassoons?! YES, four!
One of the fun surprises in the Bemidji Area Community Band this season has been our unusually large bassoon section — Alyssa Schindler, Aaron Langerak, Xylo Calavera, and Beth Brophy.
It’s not every community band that gets to enjoy the rich, distinctive sound of four bassoons! With one concert left in our summer season, we thought they deserved a little spotlight. 🎶
