North Star Neighbors has two newly constructed homes available in Thief River Falls!

2030 Nelson Drive and 217 Parkview Street both feature 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, spacious kitchens and living spaces along with attached 2-car garages.

North Star Neighbors is a community land trust, offering significant affordability assistance to buyers earning under the income limit of $93,600. In exchange for a significantly reduced purchase price, CLT homeowners agree to receive 25% of the home's total appreciation at resale, passing the home's affordability on from one homeowner to the next.

Though subject to changing interest rates, after NSN affordability assistance, a household earning $75,000 annually would be able to purchase a North Star Neighbors home in Thief River Falls for approximately $185,000.

The full application process for North Star Neighbors' homes in Roseau is now open!

Over the next few months, 4 homes will be available on Main Ave and Oak Crest Blvd in Roseau. These homes have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and two-stall garages. Built with a single-story design and up to Energy Star standards, these homes are low cost, low maintenance, and limited-mobility friendly.

If you are interested in moving forward with the eligibility process for one of these homes, please complete the Request for Full Application form at this link:

If you have not yet submitted a pre-application or if your pre-application is out of date, please complete a pre-application as well. NSN staff will respond with requests for additional information in the order the Request for Full Application forms are received.

Final buyer will be selected on a "first-ready, first-served" basis, meaning the household that appears to qualify for both a loan and North Star Neighbors eligibility requirements first.

Application Availability Announcement: Roseau, you’re up next!

North Star Neighbors will have 3 homes available in Roseau in the next 2-3 months. These homes are 3-bed, 2-bath, slab-on-grade.

We will be posting the full application for our Roseau homes next Tuesday, February 3. Purchase agreements will be entered into on a “first-ready, first-served” basis.

Availability Update!

North Star Neighbors' two East Grand Forks homes are currently in purchase agreement, pending sale. Two additional homes are planned for East Grand Forks later this year.

We still have two homes available in Thief River Falls and two homes available in Red Lake Falls. The application rounds for these homes are all open. Contact Emily today at [email protected] or (218) 791-4668 if you're interested in one of our Thief River Falls or Red Lake Falls homes.

Construction is expected to finish up in Roseau on 2-3 homes in the next 45 - 60 days. We expect to open up the Roseau application process in the first week of February.
