🌟BECC has been a registered nonprofit since 2018? Formed by passionate early childhood professionals after the dissolution of Bemidji Thrive and Bemidji Early Childhood Initiative, BECC has continued programs successfully established by those organizations for years including MAP, Gather & Grow, and professional education workshops.
🌟Until 2024, BECC's director was a contracted professional? In September 2024, BECC created its first employee position, which continues today as a part-time director.
🌟BECC's outreach is extensive? From 2023-2025 alone, programs and events have reached over 2,700 children and families and over 570 professionals by way of our Circle of Security Parenting group, Movement and Play (MAP), Tiny Tots Health & Wellness Fair, Nature Neighbors Family Festival, Movin' Mondays Stroller Brigade, Family Connection sessions, Postpartum Support group, Family Team Parent Advisory group, monthly collaborative member meetings, and Gather & Grow for child care professionals.
