The Call is OPEN for Watermark Art Center's 2026 Bi-Annual Members Show!

The Bi-Annual Members Show is just one of the ways we express our gratitude for those who support us throughout the year. AND for those current members of Watermark who are also artists, this is a unique opportunity to participate as an exhibiting artist. It's a great way to connect and share your passion for art.

Watermark will provide space for 2 video shorts of original film or animation, again for this year. Multi-media 2-D & 3-D items, photography, sculpture, glass work, metal, wood, and painting are common mediums displayed during the show.

Artists may submit up to 2 items. Submissions will be accepted now through August 8 via our online form. Application, timeline, and more information are available at watermarkartcenter.org/members-show/. While you must be a current member when you submit and during the show, there is no additional fee to submit work for jury. The exhibit will be held September 4 through October 24, 2024. The 2026 Bi-Annual Members Show is sponsored,in part, by KAXE/KBXE Northern Community Radio. Watermark galleries are accessible, free and open to the public Monday - Saturday from 10 to 5pm and located at 505 Bemidji Avenue N. in Bemidji, Minnesota. Liseli from Watermark is over at Roots, Shoots, and Seeds for a couple more hours giving away seed from our pollinator gardens plus giving away a couple of Kent Estey's books in for a "drawing" (pun intended!). Head over to Rail River Folk School for some fun!

Sign up for our Mark Makers Art Camp ART ON THE FARM for grades 1-3!
Campers will be inspired by all things farm while they create art with various mediums. This camp runs August 3-7.

IS THIS YOU? Watermark Art Center in Bemidji, Minnesota has launched a search for its next Executive Director, inviting visionary, community rooted leaders to guide the organization into its next chapter. Round 2 for new applicants is open through June 12.

As a respected regional arts institution, Watermark Art Center serves as a hub for exhibitions, arts experiences, and community connection in and the surrounding region.

Grounded in a mission to nurture, exhibit, and promote the visual arts, Watermark is valued for its professional artistic standards, accessibility, diverse programming, and meaningful relationships with artists and community partners.

The Executive Director will serve as the organization’s chief executive leader and primary public ambassador, working in close partnership with the Board of Directors to advance Watermark’s mission, artistic excellence, financial sustainability, and community engagement. This full time, exempt position is based in Bemidji, Minnesota, and requires an in person leadership presence.

“This is an important moment for Watermark,” said a representative of the Board of Directors. “We are seeking a relational, strategic, and community centered leader who can build on our strengths while helping position Watermark for long term sustainability and impact.”

Do you recognize me? This female kitten was found near Secluded Acres in Bemidji. She will be on a stray hold until 5/31 before being available for adoption.
