We are thrilled to share that the McKnight Foundation is investing $1 million in Northwest Minnesota as part of a broader $6 million commitment across all six Minnesota Initiative Foundations in 2026!
For 40 years, the Minnesota Initiative Foundations have proven that when decisions, resources, and leadership are rooted locally, rural communities thrive. Here in Northwest Minnesota, these funds will help us continue backing local entrepreneurs, expanding housing options, fostering belonging, and strengthening community vitality across our region.
