Bemidji Pride exists because of people who believe in creating affirming, inclusive spaces for LGBTQIA2S+ folks in our region, especially in northern Minnesota, where that visibility and support matter deeply.

Today is Trans Parent Day, a celebration of all our transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming parents! In a society adamant on upholding strict, binary representations of parental figures, trans and gender nonconforming parents are a powerful reminder that the qualities of a happy family—caring, nurturing, protective, safe, joyous—have nothing to do with gender and everything to do with a parent’s love.
