Further celebrations of National 4-H Week in Warren County! Our Open House hosted quite a few local families who came by to check out clubs for their kids. The evening was made extra special by the Warren Teen Council who made free ice cream Sundaes for all! It's not too late to sign up your kids in one of the best youth development programs ever conceived!! Check us out at www.warren4-H.org

Excited to share that the Free Bridge in Phillipsburg/Easton is lit green in recognition of National 4-H Week! Warren County 4-Hers celebrated at the bridge with Commissioner Lori Ciesla who presented 4-H with a proclamation announcing it's 4-H Week in Warren County!
I am so grateful to the adult volunteers who give of their time to create positive opportunities for youth to thrive! I am equally grateful to the Warren County commissioners who support this endeavor!
Our next part of celebrating National 4-H Week in Warren County is our Open House on Wednesday October 8 at 6:00-7:30 pm at the Wayne Dumont County Administration Building, 165 Route 519S. Drive around back of the building to the first door! Meet our leaders and some of the brightest and engaging kids in the county!!

Join us for the next Rutgers 4-H Teen Cafe - for youth in grades 9-12!

Saturday, October 24, 2026, 11 am - 2 pm, at the Rutgers - New Brunswick Cook Campus Greenhouse

Just in time for Halloween! Journey through the magical world of plants with Dr. Harna Patel, Associate Director of the Plant Science Undergraduate Program. Step into the Mad Botanist’s Greenhouse/Lab for an immersive tour and magical experiments including:

🌿 The Enchanted Greenhouse: Take a tour of the teaching greenhouse and “teleport” between the rainforest, desert and other climates to explore the marvelous herbs, flowers, cacti, carnivorous plants and more!

🫧The Witch’s Cauldron: Watch raw botanicals bubble in the "cauldron" and transform into pure, potent essential oil.

☕️Trick or Tea? Brew a botanical potion that changes color right before your eyes! Learn the science behind the change in color.

🪻The Phantom Scent: Unmasking the Mystery Aromas: Smell the various potions and guess the mystery aroma along with the fantastic flora they come from.

Free - Limit 25 participants. Includes pizza lunch with Dr. Patel.

📣The application for the 2026–27 New Jersey 4-H Agriculture Ambassador Program is now open!

This statewide leadership opportunity is available to 4-H members currently in grades 9 through 13, and applications are due September 30, 2026.

Now entering its third year, the NJ 4-H Agriculture Ambassador Program is open to youth with an interest in agriculture, animal science, food systems, natural resources, or related fields.

The program is designed to develop youth leaders who are passionate about promoting agriculture and increasing public understanding of its importance in New Jersey and beyond. Throughout the program year, Ambassadors will have opportunities to:
🍀Develop communication, leadership, advocacy, and career-readiness skills
🍀Participate in hands-on agricultural learning experiences
🍀Build connections and network with agricultural professionals and peers
🍀Take part in outreach and educational events
🍀Represent NJ 4-H at local and statewide agricultural events
