Boone County 4-H Shooting Sports Boone County 4-H Special Interest Club(SPIN) - Shoot Sports. Currently offering disciplines for Shotgun & Archery. This is a 4-H Special Interest (SPIN) club.

Youth development and safety are the major goals of the 4-H shooting sports program. This program teaches a variety of life skills that include: self-responsibility, decision-making, self-discipline, goal setting, teamwork and safety. This program is available to all 4-H members ages 10-18.

Tonight was the final night of Shooting Sports, for session I. All of these kids have improved so much, and we are so proud, of all of the hard work and dedication they have all put into it.
Really looking forward to session II.

This last weekend, this group of kids, had the opportunity to participate in the, 4-H Regional Shooting Sports Competition, in Bloomington. They all did a great job! Such a great learning experience. We have to send a shout out to CIPS (Central Illinois Precision Shooting) After finding out these kids had never shot in competition before, nor in some of the positions that would be expected, they called in for extra help. These kids had one on one training/teaching, preparing them for their match. CIPS went above and beyond. We cannot wait to bring back what all we learned to show everyone else in our club.
Great Job, Hayden, Mason, Blake, Vince, Jonah, Jordan, and Jozzy! You all did amazing!

Our last rifle practice of 2018. The 4-H’ers are really showing improvement. We even had a fun shoot - shooting peppermint candy targets. They were a little harder to see than the black targets but it was fun to watch them explode when hit.
