Bell County 4-H Exchange

Bell County 4-H Exchange 4-H Exchange provides an opportunity for teens to visit various regions of the United States. Guaranteed leadership opportunities and community service hours.

Bell County 4-H Exchange Club provides an opportunity for teens in the 7th-11th grade to visit various regions of the United States. The Interstate Exchange Program involves a partnership between Bell County 4-H and a 4-H program from another state. Exchange takes place one week during the summer over the course of two years. While on an exchange, teens experience various cultures, participate in

educational activities, learn about agriculture in different states, develop initiative, independence, and gain a deeper insight into one’s own values. It is a great opportunity to experience life in another part of our great nation. Fundraising and planning create many opportunities for teens to sharpen their communication and organizational skills. Exchange provides fun and effective tools for developing strong life skills, such as problem solving and teamwork. Looks great on college and scholarships applications.

Day 6: Bittersweet goodbye breakfast and ride to the airport. It was a great week with our Texas group and we wish them safe travels. It is never goodbye, but until we meet again.

Collectively we walked over 4 million steps.
Drove approximately 1100 miles.
Visited 3 states and the District of Columbia.
Made a ton of memories. We so enjoyed reconnecting with our Pennsylvania friends! We hope to continue our friendship for a long time to come!!🍀🍀🍀🍀

Day2. Another great day with our 4-H Sr. Exchange group. Today was Gettysburg. We started with a guided tour and we found the Texas monument on the battlefield. After a picnic lunch we went to the Gettysburg National Visitors Center to learn more about the battle through film, cyclorama painting and the museum. Finished the day with a little outlet shopping. Resting up tonight for a day in Washington tomorrow.
