Something has been heavy on my heart lately....

Our youth need a place where they feel safe, encouraged, seen, and strong again. They need leadership. They need connection. They need a community that reminds them they are never standing alone.
So beginning June 6, 2026 Saturday mornings at BLORA Ranch with Hoofbeats For Heroes, we are launching:
Leadership in a Herd: Cowboy & Cowgirl Values Hour every Saturday at 10 am at the ranch

This will be a one-hour gathering focused on teaching our youth the values that built strong communities:
✔ Respect
✔ Courage
✔ Leadership
✔ Accountability
✔ Compassion
✔ Integrity
✔ Resilience
Through the power of horses and herd dynamics, kids will learn how to communicate, trust, support one another, stand up for what is right, and become confident leaders even in difficult situations.
A herd survives because they protect each other. Our community can too.
This is not just about horses.
This is about rebuilding trust, rebuilding courage, and rebuilding the foundation our youth deserve.

We would LOVE community involvement. If you own a business or would like to help support these Saturday mornings, we are looking for snack and drink sponsors for the kids.

Leadership courses available at BLORA Ranch in Belton Texas Hosted by Hoofbeats for Heroes.

There are a lot of programs that talk about resilience, leadership, and growth…

With the support of the 1st Cavalry Division and the leaders we’ve had the honor to work alongside, we’ve seen something powerful unfold time and time again.

Chaplains who have brought their soldiers out have shared something that stuck with me—
they said this experience gives soldiers something tangible.
Not just concepts. Not just slides.
But real, in-the-moment understanding of what resilience, trust, and leadership actually feel like.
Another chaplain described the impact as overwhelming…
because for the first time, many participants were given a space where they could face themselves honestly—without pressure, without judgment—just them and a horse standing in front of them.
That’s where the change happens.

This program isn’t just for the military.
It’s for anyone who carries weight.
