Today, two teams sponsored by the Belton Police Foundation proudly represented the Belton Police Department at Rucks On Main. Each participant filled their ruck with non-perishable food items, completed a 6-mile ruck, and then donated the food to a local food bank. Together, BPD staff carried more than 600 pounds total!

To top it off, one of the teams earned 2nd place overall for carrying the most weight.

We are incredibly proud to support BPD employees as they invest in their mental and physical wellness while also giving back to local charities and making a difference in our community.

Please remember to thank the men and women of the Belton Police Department and other agencies in our area for protecting and serving our community! 💙

Next week is National Police Week. Let us reflect on those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and answered the call to service. May we show appreciation to those who serve daily, respond quickly, and carry the burden of others’ pain. This is more than a job; it is a calling.
