We received the most thoughtful gift! The paining is of Maple (our first blind horse) and her baby, April. Lori has followed us for several years and is an amazing artist. She donates from time to time and always sends these beautiful hand painted cards (I’ve saved every single one). So when she sent this painting, it brought me to tears. I will treasure it always. Thank you❤️

Some of you may remember Dexter. Dexter is one of our nurse-mare foals from 2019. Well, he some how, sliced his hoof wall 🫣. He was brought here as we are close to Dr. Kate DVM and his adopters are over an hour away. Yesterday Dr Kate and Brian came up with a treatment plan. His hoof had to be wired back together and a special shoe put on for support. Dexter will remain with us for a week or so while we care for him through the initial phase and once he’s stable head back to his wonderful adopters.
