It’s a great day in Belpre! Why? Thanks to Belpre Area Community Development Foundation funding, Beautify Belpre, and the professional work from Discount Signs and Awnings in Marietta, we have new street banners on Main St., Washington Blvd, Farson St and Rt. 50. The new ones have a bright blue accent and emphasize Belpre’s image historically with a bright future. Always a gazebo!!!

“Beautify Belpre”, a volunteer group in Belpre, Ohio, and a 501c3 non-profit, is offering residents and businesses an opportunity to sponsor a hanging basket and/or container bringing fresh, colorful flowers to Belpre’s Civitan Park, according to Jackie Cassady, sales chairman. Floral color schemes this year, in honor of America 250, wil, follow the red, white, and blue pallette.
The committee continues the effort to provide city beautification in parks through a variety of colorful, hardy flowering plants displayed in high traffic areas of Civitan and Howe’s Grove parks, Belpre.
All funds for these beautification projects come from donation and sponsorships. The group is an independent partner with City of Belpre but holds no financial attachment to the city, according to Karen Waller, Beautify Belpre treasurer.
Sponsor names will be placed on every planter, and can be purchased in memory or honor of a friend or loved one. Sponsorship funds are used to plant, water, and maintain these beautiful enhancements to the city’s landscape, said Jon Neff, Beautify Belpre president.
Options for sponsorships are: 1. Flower-filled container (30 at Civ. Park; 8 at Howe’s
Grove Park)@ $200 per container. Civitan Park baskets will be sold first. 2. Flowering hanging basket hanging from post @ $100 per basket (60 baskets available) 3. Entire quad of baskets on one pole plus container at pole base @ $500 total ($600 value)
