This week on Made For More, we’re shining a spotlight on a program that continues to grow, inspire, and make Beloit proud—the Beloit Trap Team!

Since its launch in 2018, the Beloit Trap Team has developed into one of the area’s most successful youth programs. Thanks to the dedication of coaches, volunteers, parents, and community supporters, students have the opportunity to learn new skills, compete at a high level, and be part of something special. This spring marked a major milestone, with more than 40 student-athletes participating—the largest team in program history.

During our conversations with those involved, it became clear that the impact of the Beloit Trap Team extends far beyond competition. Participants gain valuable lessons in firearm safety, responsibility, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork while building confidence and forming friendships that will last a lifetime. The positive environment created by the program is helping shape young people into strong leaders both on and off the range.

This weekend, team members will travel to Wichita to compete at the Kansas State Trap Shooting Championship. We wish all of the shooters, coaches, volunteers, and families the very best as they represent Beloit on the state stage. Your hard work, commitment, and dedication have already made our community proud.

This week on Made For More, we’re highlighting one of Beloit’s fastest-growing youth programs and a group of students making our community proud—the Beloit Trap Team!

What began in 2018 has grown into an outstanding program that provides local youth with opportunities to learn, compete, and succeed. Through the commitment of dedicated coaches, volunteers, parents, and community supporters, the Beloit Trap Team continues to thrive. This spring marked a record-breaking season, with more than 40 student-athletes participating—the largest roster in the program’s history.

As we visited with coaches and volunteers, one message stood out: the Beloit Trap Team is about much more than hitting targets. Students develop valuable skills such as firearm safety, responsibility, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork while building confidence and forming friendships that last far beyond the range. The positive culture created by those involved is helping shape young people both as athletes and as individuals.

This weekend, the team will travel to Wichita to compete in the Kansas State Trap Shooting Competition. We extend our best wishes to all of the shooters, coaches, and families as they proudly represent Beloit at the state level. This week on Made For More, we’re featuring a program that has seen incredible growth and is making a lasting impact on local youth—the Beloit Trap Team!

Since its beginnings in 2018, the Beloit Trap Team has grown into one of the area’s most successful and well-supported youth activities. Thanks to the dedication of coaches, volunteers, parents, and community members, the program continues to provide students with opportunities to learn, compete, and develop important life skills. This spring was a milestone season, with more than 40 student-athletes participating—the highest number in team history.

During our conversation with several of the coaches and volunteers, it became clear that the Beloit Trap Team is about much more than competition. Participants learn firearm safety, discipline, responsibility, sportsmanship, and teamwork while building confidence and friendships that extend far beyond the shooting range. The passion and commitment of everyone involved have helped create an environment where students can thrive both on and off the field.

This week on Made For More, I had the opportunity to sit down with Kristi Arasmith of Boost Ministries, and what an uplifting conversation it was. Kristi is the kind of person who sees a need in her community and immediately begins looking for ways to help. Her compassion, leadership, and dedication to serving others are making a lasting impact throughout North Central Kansas.

Through the work of Kristi and the entire Boost Ministries team, individuals and families are finding more than just resources—they’re finding support, encouragement, hope, and a path forward. Every day, their organization is helping strengthen lives, build meaningful relationships, and create positive change across our communities.

One of the things that impressed me most was Kristi’s genuine passion for people. Her desire to help others overcome obstacles, recognize their value, and achieve their goals is evident in everything she does. The work of Boost Ministries extends far beyond programs and services—it’s about investing in people and helping them thrive.
