🏡✨ What an incredible turnout!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for yesterday’s Homebuyer Education Class.

We know giving up an entire Saturday is a commitment, and we're so grateful you chose to invest that time in your future!!

Homeownership can feel overwhelming, but every homeowner starts with a first step.

This weekend, you took that step by learning about credit, budgeting, financing options, down payment assistance programs, and the homebuying process.

Whether you're planning to buy in a few months or a few years, you're now one step closer to achieving your goals!!

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to our community partners, lenders, real estate professionals, and supporters who help make these opportunities possible.

Together, we're working to create more pathways to homeownership and stronger communities for everyone.

The excitement, questions, and determination we saw in the room today reminded us why we love this work. We can't wait to see where your journey takes you and celebrate with you when you receive the keys to your new home. ❤️

📣 Missed yesterday’s class? Don't worry! Our next Homebuyer Education Class will be held on July 18th. It's never too early to start preparing for homeownership, and we'd love to help you take that first step.

Your future address starts with one step... and today, many future homeowners took it. 🏡✨

We are honored and grateful to receive two significant investments from WHEDA that will help us continue strengthening our community and expanding our impact throughout Rock County.

This is a big win for our community!

NeighborWorks Blackhawk Region is honored to receive a $40,000 grant from the WHEDA Foundation and a $350,000 Housing Counseling Resource Program investment through WHEDA and FHLBank Chicago.

What does this mean for the people we serve?

It means more support for individuals experiencing homelessness through improvements to Brittan House, a transitional living shelter that helps provide stability, dignity, and a path forward.

It means more housing counselors available to help local families improve their credit, create a budget, access down payment assistance programs, and navigate the homebuying process with confidence.

It means more opportunities for individuals and families throughout the Beloit area to achieve safe, stable housing and build generational wealth through homeownership.

Housing changes lives. It strengthens families, neighborhoods, schools, and our local economy. These investments allow us to continue meeting people where they are and helping them take the next step toward a brighter future.

We are incredibly grateful to WHEDA, FHLBank Chicago, our partners, board members, and community supporters who believe in this work and in the people we serve every day.

Together, we're building stronger communities….one neighbor, one home, and one opportunity at a time!!
