Hey guys!

As many of you know, the primaries are coming up! It's incredibly important to vote in the primaries as it determines which candidate will be running in the presidential election.

WISCONSIN STATE HAS OPEN PRIMARIES. This means that you are able to vote for a candidate regardless of the party you are registered under.

The Wisconsin primary will be held on TUESDAY, APRIL 5.
You are able to vote at First Congregational Church, located at 801 Bushnell Street, from 7:00am to 8:00pm.

You must be registered to vote by WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16.
Wisconsin does not offer online registration, however you may begin the process online and mail in a printed form. You may begin the process at: https://www.usa.gov/register-to-vote.
You can also register in person at the City Clerk's office, located on the second floor of City Hall (100 State Street), weekdays, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

You may also REGISTER AT THE POLLS THE DAY OF THE PRIMARY with your student ID, unless expired.
We are currently working to purchase voting cards for those with expired student IDs.

If you have any questions feel free to email [email protected], or [email protected].

Hey guys! Tonight, Nov. 16 at 9:00pm we're going to have a meeting on dumpster diving!

This meeting will be on freeganism and the open source movement, which are all about moving beyond capitalism. From Freegan.info: "Freegans practice strategies for everyday living based on sharing resources, minimizing the detrimental impact of our consumption, and reducing and recovering waste and independence from the profit-driven economy." I'm going to focus on dumpster diving as a really fun (and not gross!) way to get free stuff and be more sustainable.

Anybody is welcome!
