Homeless with hounds is a small grass roots group who currently helps 5 homeless individuals that travel with their pets. 2 ladies (one with a cat the other with a small dog) and 3 men (all with dogs).

Extreme lows coming this Sunday night....
Blankets all being washed and bedding being changed. Going through all the kennel blankets (the hospital bed pads and flanels) to see what needs replacement....

With low temps when everyone comes to hound house we take time to apply new coats of water proofing to tents make what repairs we can and replace what we cant....

That is why our wishlist have tents, blankets, socks, ect in the winter time.

We also take the time to make sure the dogs are bathed and clean while they have the opportunity.

I know I know its December 3rd but we took a much needed trip shortly after Thanksgiving to recharge and stay with family a few days.
With December comes some cold weather and cold nights here where we are generally at capacity for kennels and beds.
We will be redoing the Amazon wishlist for winter the next few days....

We also would love to direct you to the Christmas wishlist we have up to assist some of the children on our route..
Its not much but it fills some needs amd gives them something to have for the holiday...

3 turkeys, 2 hams, 3 trays of dressing, 6 LARGE crockpots going with sides (i have crockpots going in the garage because I ran out of kitchen outlets and crockpots) and I lost count of the rolls......
Being plated up in the next few hours and loaded in the van for delivery with blessing bags of essentials....
Happy Thanksgiving everyone we had our small family dinner yesterday so we can do this today.
First time smoking the turkeys.... we were loaned a large smoker and I have to say this is soooo much easier....

This is our Thanksgiving Food Drive for our homeless individuals and their pets! Every year we do a buy out wish list with our goal being to operate as long as possible on these donations to be able to help the homeless population we assist.

Do you know about our mission?
We have been helping the homeless who have pets in the Charlotte metro area of nc/sc for a decade now!! We went from being able to just provide pet food to now we have a "Hound House" and Kennels thanks to Munster - Mr. Fancy Pants and many other paged here on facebook.
We understand that not everyone may love the homeless and some have evil intentions to them and even their pets. We respect their privacy and do NOT post them on Facebook as a brag of who we are helping. The lord calls us to do good silently.

Item of the day is Rice-a-roni!! These cases will help us. Make hot meals paired with meats we buy. Usually we pair 2 boxes of these with 3 lbs of ground chicken while we add in frozen veggies. We serve with rolls.

Our yearly goal is to always have an empty amazon wishlist by thanksgiving day!!
