Belmont Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) invites you to attend our next Parent Information Session (P*S). SEPAC is a group of volunteers that are committed to helping students access the needed supports and services for special education, community and family.

This Parent Information Session and workshop will be held in the Wellington Community Room.

Therapeutic After School Program - November 28, 2018, Parent Information Session, 6:30pm Parent Mingle, 7pm Presentation

"Therapeutic After School Program” November 28th Parent Information Session

Here is the flow:
6:30pm - Parent Mingle
7:00pm - Presentation

8:30pm - Discussion about other after school programs and need for them in our community

8:45pm - End (We have to be out of the building at 8:45)


Where: Burbank Elementary School (our host school for 2018/2019 school year) in the Cafeteria, 266 School Street, Belmont MA 02478. Entrance to the cafeteria is on the side of building by the parking lot.

Topic: Therapeutic After School Program

Liz Levarity, Program Director for the “Therapeutic After School Program” T.A.S.P. located at Walker-Beacon High School in Watertown will talk with parents about this program. Parents can come find out how to apply for the program, learn how the program works, and ask any questions about how their child might fit in the program.

Parents with children in elementary and middle school whose child needs a therapeutic level support for their child in an after school setting are encouraged to attend. After the discussion with TASP at Walker-Beacon, parents who are in attendance will continue the discussion about other after school programs and the need in our community for therapeutic after school programs.

Adaptive Learn to Play Hockey Program: Wednesdays Sept. 12, 2018 - Nov. 14th 2018 (no session on Wednesday, Oct. 31st) 5:00PM-5:50PM

LOCATION: Simoni Rink, 155 Gore Street, Cambridge, MA 02141

ADAPTIVE ICE SKATING PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Children must wear a helmet at all times when on the ice
2. We ask children to commit to attending all 9 sessions

ADAPTIVE LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Children must wear a hockey helmet with cage.
2. We ask children to commit to attending all 9 sessions.



COST: $50 for skating and $50 for hockey
