A few days ago, while discussing the topic of county funds going to nonprofits here in York County in the comments of one of our posts, we connected with Tips and Tails TNR — a local nonprofit dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Return efforts and rescuing community strays.
During that conversation, we learned they currently have a very long waiting list for desperately needed spay and neuter surgeries in our community.
Here’s why that matters:
🐈 Spaying just ONE female cat can prevent the birth of roughly 12–18 kittens in a single year. Because cats can begin reproducing as early as four months old, that single surgery can prevent more than 2,000 kittens over just four years.
This page has over 7,000 followers. Could 100 people share this post and maybe even consider sponsoring just ONE surgery?
Times are tough right now, we know that. But services like this help reduce the number of unwanted animals entering shelters and can lower taxpayer costs in the long run.
If you’d like to help, their Linktree has everything you need:
• Ways to sponsor a surgery
• Donation information
• Supply wishlists
• Volunteer info
