UPDATE: Wanted to share a quick update on the Friends of Shaker Robotics World Championship Travel fundraiser

Thanks to this incredible community, we are now only $700 away from our goal!!

ORIGINAL POST: One of our own teams, Shaker Robotics Team 603B (“I Don’t Know”), has officially qualified for the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis.

Let that sink in for a second…

👉 These are local kids
👉 Competing against the best teams in the world
👉 And they earned their spot

This isn’t a trip — this is the Super Bowl of robotics.

Here’s the reality:

Travel costs add up fast, and we want to make sure the team who earned this and their coach have the opportunity can go.

🎯 We only need to raise $2,000 to help get them there.

💥 If 100 people give $20… we’re done.
💥 If 40 people give $50… we’re done.
💥 If 20 people step up big… we’re done today.

This community shows up — we’ve seen it again and again.

Now it’s time to show these kids that their community has their backs.

The 2025 VEX IQ Robotics Competition “RAPID RELAY” World Championships have concluded and what a great experience it was! 30,892 of the best teams from dozens of countries around the world competed in VEX Robotics during the Rapid Relay and High Stakes season.

Our ES Division team, Team 6033H - HARRY BOTTER AND THE MECHANICAL STONE, did amazing during the last two days of the event. They persevered through the toughest second day of the event and competed in six qualification matches on Tuesday, followed by the last three on Wednesday. The boys finished in an impressive 66th place out of 84 total teams with an average score of 66.75—better than any of their scores during our in-region games or practices! The team also did one attempt at the Skills Challenges and finished with a ranking of 280 out of 421 ES teams. There were no expectations from the coaches, except to have fun and they blew us away. Very impressive first championship for our students! Congratulations, Timmy, Owen, and Henry!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Team 603X - VEX-RAYS from RIZE Robotics in Goffstown, NH, for allowing their student, Henry, to join the team as a loader. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

And while the 2024-2025 season has finished, the 2025-2026 VIQRC “MIX & MATCH” season has begun. Stay tuned for more details and what’s in store on the horizon!

Fourth grader, Timmy, and third grader, Owen, are competing in the ENGINEERING Division with 83 other teams from all around the world. In total, over 820 teams are here at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center competing in VEX IQ. The 2024-2025 VEX Robotics Competition “High Stakes” season came to a close on Thursday and the 2025-2026 “Push Back” season has now begun.

Our Robo Raiders Team 603B - I DON’T KNOW competed in the World Championships in Dallas, Texas over the course of three days. They did not win any awards, nor did they make it to the elimination bracket. They finished in 61st place out of 83 teams in their division, Innovate, with a 3-7-0 run. They worked tirelessly and gave it their all, not quitting or giving up the entire competition.

Regardless of the losses, they had fun and had an amazing experience of a lifetime. We were blessed enough to get 4 of our 5 regional teams in the same hotel, so IDK was able to spend time with our sister teams, sharing ideas and building a community of friendship. This will last a lifetime.

The boys represented NH/VT with excellence and received so many compliments about their robot design, team shirts, and innovation at the event. And, the team that won the World Excellence Award—the highest and most prestigious award possible—complimented them on their robot. This coach is extremely proud.

Last night, we sat in the Dome with two of our other sister teams. The boys held up a sign representing NH/VT and it made it on the Jumbotron. They got to cheer on one of their alliance partners who made it to the World finals and won the World Championships. Our regional teams, along with 9,000+ other spectators got the opportunity to watch the new game reveal.

And, even after four very grueling and exhausting days, they were already strategizing and planning for the new season. They are excited for the new game and can’t wait to get back into the classroom.

Our senior, Odin Provost, who started IDK, is now officially retired from competing in VEX V5. However, he will continue to mentor and support the BHS and BMS Robotics programs. With his guidance, we hope to continue our World qualifying streak for years to come.

Congratulations, Odin, Ethan Rivera, Brodie Henry, and Grant Wescott!! We are INCREDIBLY proud of you all!!!

Day One of the 2025 V5RC World Championships has come to a close. Sorta.

The venue opened at 8:00am this morning. Tens of thousands of students, volunteers, coaches, and spectators descended into Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center to set up their booths, get robots inspected, and hit the practice fields. There are hundreds of students in costumes and native garb representing dozens of their countries and regions. VEX has all their products on full displace; they have programs starting from age 3 and up, with new drone programs and all kinds of competitions. Sponsors from NASA, the Navy, and other companies and colleges have booths and things for students to do. It’s an endless sea of activities.

Team 603B - I DON’T KNOW competed in one practice match and one qualification match. They won the practice match, but lost their qualification match to end the day with a 0-1-0 run. They sit in 67th place out of 83 teams. However, even after a 10-hour day, they came back to the hotel and started working on their codes and robot. When will they stop for the night? As the team name implies, I don’t know.

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s results!

Shaker Robotics Fundraising Update – Help Us Reach the Finish Line! 🤖💙

We’re excited to share that we’ve raised $7,190 toward our $12,000 goal to send two Shaker Robotics teams to the VEX World Championships in Dallas this May!

This includes 603B – I DON’T KNOW, our high school team with three Canterbury students, and 6033H – Harry Botter and the Mechanical Stone, our rookie elementary team from Canterbury Elementary. Both earned their way to Worlds by winning the State Championship in their divisions—and now we need your help to get them there.
