Yesterday the DerKazarian Foundation was pleased to tour the Animal Rescue League in Dedham. The ARL does amazing work caring for local animals in need. We learned that just in the last few days multiple cats and dogs had found their furever home! We also saw rabbits, gerbils, parrots, pigs, goats, and many other kinds of animals. It truly is an amazing special place, and we are happy to support their efforts.

The DerKazarian Foundation was pleased to recently tour the new Project Save building at 600 Pleasant St. in Watertown. We have been supporting this wonderful organization and its important work for years but it was eye opening to see first hand how they are working toward expanding its operations for future growth and impact. Their commitment to uplifting Armenian art has supported past exhibitions and includes an important loan of Gorky drawings to our other exhibition, “Redrawing Community and Connections.”

The new Belmont Public Library opened in January to great acclaim and even greater attendance numbers! And the DerKazarian Foundation was there to help! We were honored to name the reference desk after our family, befitting as our Foundation’s president, Alan DerKazarian, spent over 27 years as a reference librarian before retiring six years ago. We were also excited to help the Belmont Media Center move to its new home in the library. Check out the new Belmont Public Library! It’s fantastic!
