“Miracle Express, Inc. is a corporation organized under Section 402 of the NYState Not-For-Profit Corporation Law. While our mission is focused locally in Monmouth/Ocean County and beyond, “The corporation application for exempt status under 501c of the Internal Revenue Code is pending at this time.” Miracle Express focuses on finding families, who are in dire need of help and delivers miracles to
their doorsteps. Doyle, founder of MRD Productions, created Miracle Express with the idea of instilling belief back into families and their respective communities nationwide. The original idea of Miracle Express was to partner with local parishes, school-systems, government agencies’, outside non-profits, corporations, hospitals and sponsors while shooting the process (from finding families, shopping, gift-wrapping, interviewing families, to the surprise delivery of gifts on Christmas morning) capturing real time authenticity. In it’s first two seasons, Miracle Express has raised over several thousand dollars, delivered Miracles to 5 families and been recognized statewide. THE MAGIC OF MIRACLE WAS DELIVERED ON
CHRISTMAS MORNING
Miracle Express closed out 2018 having surprised delivered miracles to 11 family’s doorsteps on Christmas morning. It’s team of volunteers met at AXA-Advisors at 6:20 am, located at 1967 NJ-34 Building C, Suite 201, Wall Township NJ 07719, where over 8 families presents were stored. Executive Director, JP Byrne who is a VP of AXA Advisor in Woodbridge, had coordinated with the Wall office to assist the team in storing over 350 presents due to the overwhelming success from Saint Catharine School. Christmas morning delivery volunteers included Charlene Marie, Matthew Nolan, Jean Hughes, Ali Napolitano, James Napolitano, Cindy Naplitano, Max Nolan, Colleen DeStephan, Marykate Schneider, Kevin Shinn, Michael R. Doyle, Keith Shaffer, Tamara Shields & JP Byrne. The team packed a 20’ U-Haul truck and set out to deliver to family number 1 in Toms River where a young man whose 35 was diagnosed with a non-curable brain tumor.
The young man is married, has a 15-month year old and a second child on the way. Miracle Express arrived roughly around 7:20 am to the young man mothers house with a surprise delivery from a few of the local businesses. Executive Director & Host, JP Byrne led the team of 14 volunteers to their doorsteps. As the team entered the house family 1 broke down into hysterics. Just four days before Christmas, the young man was entered into Robert Wood Johnson hospital for uncontrollable seizures. It was in that moment that JP had shared the magic of a miracle while the young mans’ wife had him on Facetime (there is a video from the recipient’s family featured on Miracle Express, Inc, page). JP continued, we have three additional miracles. First, “on behalf of the Vincent M. Tesauro Helping Hands Foundation we would like to share that we will cover 6 months of your mobile property rent to try and eliminate some stress.” The second, “knowing you have a second child on the way, on behalf of the Jersey Shore Dream Center, you have to fill out this application and they are going to help you with baby food, diapers and wipes when the second child arrives. Lastly, “from what we understand, you and your husband never had a honeymoon… So, on behalf of the Breakers on the Ocean, we are going to provide you an all-inclusive first honeymoon on the weekend of your choice (January, February, March). That sound good to you?” – JP Byrne said. The young man, his wife and family were in tears, and heard saying, “This is amazing! Thank you, Thank you so much!” I have a reason to get out of here. The Breakers is a really nice place. We never had a chance to have a honeymoon.” Young man said.
“The team left having exchanged tears, smiles and hugs. To see our original vision come to fruition after four seasons is my miracle. It’s one thing to drop off gifts; it’s another to deliver life changing miracles that can provide people a strong sense of belief that miracles happen, and dreams come true. When we leave, we will hold onto these shared experiences forever. That’s why we started this mission, Founder Michael R. Doyle said.”
Miracle Express continued its delivery to family 2 who was located in Brick, NJ. The team was greeted by the father who had to wake up the children. They had a late night at the hospital where the mother was recently admitted for chemotherapy. The team brought in the gifts and JP delivered a surprise miracle to the oldest child who was in need of a laptop for school. "On behalf of "Saint Catharine School Community & Saint Catharine School, we have a laptop to help you with your studies, okay" JP said. The father who was humbled broke down into tears and could not engage the team. Jean Hughes said, “Here we are delivering gifts to these families but the circumstances of what these families are experiencing are real. In this family’s case – it’s life threatening and it’s heartbreaking!!”
The volunteers continued their mission to family 3 located on Main Street in Manasquan. The father looked out the window and could not believe what he saw. 14 volunteers carrying presents. The family was very appreciative and thanked god.
As Miracle Express continued its mission to two families houses in Belmar, there were still two miracles to be delivered. A mother whose children played with friends would pick on her children for having two missing teeth. Her miracle was asked that all she wanted for Christmas was her two front teeth.” Along with the gifts for their children came a complimentary consultation and exam from All In The Family Dental Care.” We are very excited about being a part of Miracle Express." – All In The Family Dental Care said.
Miracle Express made its way to First Avenue in Asbury Park where they were greeted by two small children. One small child asked, “Are you Santa?” JP Byrne smiled and said, “NO! These are presents from Santa.” – New team member Keith Shaffer and Tamara Shields said, "When we joined this organization our thoughts were about giving time and energy to make sure miracle Express could deliver to as many families as possible. Early that Christmas morning it all became very real. This organization has impacted so many lives and brings together the community in such a positive way, the word miracle almost doesn’t do it justice. Just seeing these children’s faces filled with smiles and so much personality warms our hearts.”
By roughly 9:00 am, Miracle Express had delivered to five family’s doorsteps and the team had seven more stops to go. As the team continued its way, they had a surprise stop to make at the Economy Hotel in Wall. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency they were not there. Miracle Express had delivered presents on December 31st. The miracle is currently being researched and looked into (transportation, rent, i.e.)
As the team continued their mission several volunteers had to get back to their families and celebrate Christmas of their own. We can’t thank everyone for the time and commitment they made to help us deliver season four of Miracle Express. Just this year, we had 14 new faces on delivery morning. We had parents bring their children to instill lessons of "gratitude." The old saying, "Be grateful for what you have while you have it." This organization is filled with lessons. That's why the support from our community is so critical to the future of our mission - especially in 2019 when we start all throughout the year – Co Founder Sean Sternberg said.
Miracle Express made stops in Wall Township (family will remain anonymous), and three others in Freehold & Howell. Our team concluded its deliveries by 11:48 am. The response from our community this year was amazing! Mr. Doyle said. With a 140% growth from last year and having strategically partnered with Saint Catharine School and local businesses here in our community, we believe 2019 is going to be quite special. Our goal is to find families starting January 1 and continuing our mission throughout the entirety of the year. The idea we can restore faith in humanity, use video to capture real time authenticity, create interpersonal relationships and have recipients from previous years wanting to pay it forward proves the model. We live in a world that promotes bad when in reality, there is still so much good. Where else can you go from being complete strangers to then sharing one of the most intimate moments of people’s lives? That’s the magic of a miracle! That's magic of getting involved with Miracle Express! - Mr. Doyle said.
