Former member and board member Mike Somone (left) recently presented a plaque of appreciation to IBEW Local 9 business manager Bill Niesman for their continuous support. Over the past six years, IBEW Local 9 has donated 300 Thanksgiving dinners to Club families and has steadily contributed financially to the Club. Thank you IBEW Local 9! The West Cook County Youth Club Is forever grateful!

Registration for Bellwood Youth Little League Baseball is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 20) at the Eisenhower Community Center (700 Speechly Blvd., Hillside).

Leagues for boys and girls ages 4-12 are planned. Fees range from $65 for T-Ball (ages 4-6) to $145 for the Majors Division (ages 11-12).

Thanks to a Thanksgiving donation from IBEW Local 9 (the fifth-straight year!), we were able to distribute turkeys with all the trimmings to 50 families! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The WCCYC's annual golf outing was a smashing success "Fore!" our Club on September 14.. After a coronavirus protocol that started with a temperature check before golfers left their cars and included mask-wearing and social distancing throughout the day, it was a beautiful afternoon and evening for golf and charity. Our host Royal Fox was in beautiful condition for a day of mirth, with a mulligan or two sneaked in. Special thanks go to board member and golf committee chairman Frank Sangiacomo (Mickey's Drive-In) for his planning and hard work, and advisory board member Dennis Kitchen and AZEK Building Products for sponsoring the dinner portion of the evening. In all, 103 golfers and numerous additional sponsors participated. More than $27,000 was raised for WCCYC! Thanks to all our players, and we hope to see you back next September!

West Cook County Youth Club STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) instructor Bob Kopach took his program up to the next level when he donated a new 3D printer to our Club!

The gift was given to the Club in memory of Mr. Kopach's mother Evelyn.

​

We can't wait to reopen so our future engineers and designers can begin creating items on the printer!
